The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market is slated to present nearly 30 events and seminars, gourmet demonstrations, lounges and celebrations at its upcoming July event.
“The July Market programming is all about inspiration,” says Dorothy Belshaw, executive vice president, chief marketing and digital officer for International Market Centers. “Whether it’s a new business venture, a new way to connect with customers or a new recipe to prepare for family and friends, buyers will find it in Atlanta this summer.”
During these events, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with taste makers, trendsetters and thought leaders from the design, entertaining, retail, business and publishing realms through a variety of programming from July 9-15.
Among the larger programs running during the market will be events like Shop the Show, which is returning for its third season. As a part of this event, personalities from several different areas of interest will come together to pick their favorite products and host events. Set to visit Atlanta this July is Monika Hibbs; Landyn Hutchinson of Living with Landyn; Ashley Rose of Sugar & Cloth; and Anissa and Brian Zajac of House Seven Design + Build.
During market, Rose will host the “Summer Entertaining: 5-Minute Bruschetta & Skinny Jalapeño Margaritas…Olé!” event at 11 a.m. on July 11 before greeting fans in the Bodrum showroom. The Zajacs will discuss their story and power of Instagram in “Inside Instagram: Learn How to Take Your Social Community & Content to an Entirely New Level of Business Success” at 2 p.m. on July 11 before hosting a meet and greet in the MVP Group International showroom. Hutchinson will prepare her attendees for an unplanned party with friends during “Girls Night In! Easy Entertaining & Cocktails with Lifestyle Expert Landyn Hutchinson” at 11 a.m. on July 12 followed by a meet and greet in the Just Got 2 Have It! showroom. Hibbs will share how she became a voice in the online lifestyle sphere in “Beyond the Blog! Evolving Your Design Firm & Reinventing a Multi-Faceted Brand” at 2 p.m. on July 12 before hosting a meet and greet in the Lowcountry Originals showroom. The influencers will later come together on July 12 at 4 p.m. for the floor-wide “Bohemian Escape - A Shop the Show Soirée” hosted by Creative Co-Op and Building 2, Floor 10 exhibitors HomArt, Kalalou, Park Hill, Tango and UMA.
Other activities taking place during market include educational programs like “Stationary Shop Talk,” “How to Strategically and Successfully Add Home Staging to Your Design Business” and “Email Marketing Strategy for All Phases of the Small Business Journey.”
In the kitchen, the Fiesta Dinnerware will host Southern lifestyle experts as they run a “Kids in the Kitchen with Cooper” demonstration with kid-friendly recipes. Later, the same space will host Shayla Copas as she talks about entertaining and cocktails during her“Seersucker Social: Entertaining Tips, Cocktails and Recipes with the Author of Four Seasons of Entertaining” presentation.
In addition to those events, the Atlanta Market will also provide several hospitality lounges for buyers including the Headshot & Glam Studio which will feature amenities like an available 20-minute portrait session that includes hair and makeup touch ups, and the Wellness and Rejuvenation Lounge that offers complimentary massages and free beverages.
