ABBYSON GETS A NEW HIGH POINT HOME

ABBYSON GETS A NEW HIGH POINT HOME

Remember the wonderful layout of the Chaddock showroom on the corner of Green and Hamilton. The colonnade, that double staircase, Mary McDonald... well, that fab building is undergoing a transformation inside and out, and will have a new tenant starting with the Spring 2019 Market. Abbyson is leaving its perch inside IHFC and will be spreading its wings here like only a 25,000 square foot showroom can afford a growing company.

Yavar Rafieha, Abbyson’s President, is spearheading the renovations along with Abbyson’s in-house design team. “This new standalone building will allow our buyers to tour our new product designs as well as a vast range of our current product line that shows the breadth of our capabilities all while immersing themselves in a one-of-a-kind shopping experience,” he said.

The building will include a state-of-the-art Design Center with a digital store that features Abbyson’s product line of more than 2,000 in-stock items and new arrivals. Also on hand, over 100 leather and fabric swatches, woods, metals and hardware samples that show the vast range of Abbyson product colors and finishes. The Design Center will serve as the central hub for all events during High Point Market and will also be open year-round by appointment for designers to shop the latest products.

At Abbyson, hospitality is always in fashion and the new space affords more opportunity for social gathering and relaxing. Guests will be invited to dine in the gourmet restaurant, refresh with an espresso from the barista bar, sip something at the 40-foot full-service bar, and experience the Abbyson Wine tasting room featuring exclusive wines from California. There will also be a VIP Buyer lounge where one can chill, chat, work or recharge.

“With this latest investment in a new building in High Point, Abbyson continues its impressive growth and commitment to be a leading supplier for multi-channel retailers and designers,” said Bob Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers, Inc. (IMC bought the former Chaddock building at 300 E. Green. earlier this year). “Their passionate family leadership and customer centric focus is a winning strategy in both High Point and Las Vegas. We are proud that they are investing to turn this building into a must see and compelling location.”

The official opening will take place during Spring High Point Market with a ribbon-cutting and cocktail party. Details of the Grand Opening will be announced later. In the meantime, designers interested in the Abbyson trade program can go to www.abbysontrade.com.
