Jill Waage to Succeed Ann Omvig Maine at Traditional Home

Des Moines, IA. — Jill Waage has been named the editor in chief for Traditional Home magazine, replacing Ann Omvig Maine who is retiring after 15 years with the publication and 35 years with Meredith Corp., parent company of Traditional Home.

Waage was most recently the editorial director of digital content and products for Better Homes & Gardens. She has held several roles at Better Homes & Gardens, including brand executive editor, editorial director of home content, and executive editor of special interest media. Earlier in her Meredith career, Waage was editor of several home-design titles, including Decorating. She is a graduate of Drake University School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Meredith also announced that Jennifer Darling has been named as the new editor in chief of Allrecipes magazine. Darling has worked in a wide range of positions at Meredith, most recently as editorial director for Better Homes & Gardens Special Interest Publications and its portfolio of 47 food and home magazines. She succeeds Cheryl Brown, who was recently named Editor-in-Chief of Meredith’s New York-based Family Circle magazine.
