Casual furniture manufacturer Pride Family Brands announced a licensing agreement and collaboration between its Castelle brand and renowned interior designer and author Barclay Butera.
Through the partnership, Castelle will produce and market a line of outdoor furnishing designs created by Butera, and will include joint events highlighting outdoor living within design and home furnishings industries.
“We are very excited about partnering with Barclay Butera and his entire creative team on new products and promotions,” said Steve Lowsky, CEO, Castelle. “Over the years, we have been approached regarding numerous design or brand partnering opportunities. With Barclay, we saw a true fit. In addition to his design expertise, it was his focus on high end customers and products that we saw as a natural fit for our luxury furnishings brand.”
Barclay Butera by Castelle will include the manufacturer’s custom cast aluminum construction in conjunction with original Butera designs. The new outdoor collection is slated to debut during the April 2017 High Point Market as well as the International Casual Furnishings Association (ICFA) Preview Show in July 2017 and the ICFA Casual Market Chicago in September 2017.
“I wanted to design a modern way to truly bring together an indoor to outdoor design esthetic successfully,” said Butera. “With my Southern Californian roots, Castelle allows me to combine my two favorite things, high-design and luxurious outdoor living. As with indoor, my line of outdoor furnishings with Castelle will be both elegant and approachable at the same time.”
With this licensing agreement, the Barclay Butera by Castelle collaboration will join a long list of premiere product lines that carry the designer’s name. Butera recently has entered into partnerships with a number of the industry’s most respected product lines from lighting to wall coverings. Barclay’s interiordesign projects and licensing collections are frequently featured in luxury consumer publications, decor and lifestyle magazines.
